In this online course you will learn:

Human services organizations face growing pressure to adopt generative artificial intelligence platforms, before leaders have clarified what problems AI should solve or how new tools align with mission and practice. In this talk we will explore Gen AI from the perspective of hype, harm and hope, considering how starting with a capabilities-based approach to AI adoption can  shift attention from specific products to what AI can actually do. The presentation aims to introduce accountable AI integration as a component of  organizational capacity, participatory decision-making, and long-term learning rather than vendor-driven solutions. Practical implications for nonprofit and public human service leaders, practitioners, and partners will be discussed, as well as guiding questions to consider prior to an AI adoption.
